You are in control of your attitude. Even on your worst day, you can treat people with kindness and respect. Going through a tough season is not an excuse to take that out on the people around you. Hold yourself accountable for your emotions and responses. And if you find yourself reacting negatively, be quick to apologize. Do not buckle down and let pride convince you you have a right to be a jerk. Own up to your bad attitude and apologize for projecting that on someone else’s peace.

Migrant workers were pressured into working in dangerous conditions during the wildfires. The payment structure for farmworkers incentivizes them to work through legally required breaks, something that was already under scrutiny due to a string of heat related deaths. Farms have been noncompliant or insufficiently compliant with providing workers with safety equipment and information. There have been a lot of awful stories coming out of the fires but this is really, really atrocious.

I get really uncomfortable around random people who stare at me and I hate it so much. WHy do random people people look at me, I don’t like to look or stare at random people and I have a hard time understanding why people do it. I’ll go to a store or walk down the street and people will stare or glare at me. It’s worse when people get close and nervous. It makes me feel like Im some creepy weirdo without knowing what I do wrong besides possibly get visibly nervous, mostly because they get nervous too or stare at me. I have self esteem issues so I have a hard time believing it’s because they think im attractive, especially when some people glare at me like I just insulted them. I don’t know what it is, but I hate it and it makes me not want to go out.
